PRIYA'S WEDDING

 CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA

Scene Setter

Although she was born in Iowa, Priya wanted her wedding to reflect many of the traditions of her Indian heritage. One of the meaningful touches on that day was the "mehndi" or henna temporary tattoos hand-drawn on her hands by a family friend.

The Style File

In Indian heritage, red is the traditional wedding color so Priya incorporated red details throughout the wedding including her wrap made from gorgeous red and gold sari fabric and a red accent on her strapless gown.

Jewelry Journal

Priya's bridesmaids wore red strapless dresses with rhinestone details. "I decided to select simple, rhinestone jewelry for all of us." says Priya. " We wore the Serafina Rhinestone Earrings." Priya had previously found simple single-stone necklaces for the girls and tells us "The Serafina earrings matched with them perfectly!" Priya says she still loves the earrings " ...because they can be worn on formal occasions, or even with jeans."

Priya and her bridesmaids all wore the Serafina Rhinestone Earrings. The drop design provides just the right amount of movement and sparkle
